RAF Lakenheath
A long awaited visit to this Suffolk base, home to the F-15E Strike Eagle. We were given an excellent briefing in the crew room as well as demonstration of the G-Suit and survival equipment worn by a pilot. Then it was over a HAS for a look at an F-15E up close. After an excellent lunch a visit was made to the Memorial Park to see the preserved aircraft. An excellent visit and we would like to thank our American hosts for a wonderful visit.
RAF Shawbury
Yet another visit to this storage base to see what's hidden away in the storage hangars, as well as the very active Griffins and Squirrels of the Defence Helicopter Flying School.

Gliding Evening
A beautiful evening, with ideal conditions, saw the London Gliding Club provide 3 gliders for the 11 flights undertaken by MKAS members and their families, watched by a further number of our members and their families. A superb evening and thanks to Ian Carr and everyone at Dunstable for a great evening.
RAF Northolt Photocall
A good day was had by those MKAS members who made the trek down to this West London base to see the various aircraft which turned up for this annual event.
RAF Wittering
A return visit to the home of No 20 (R) Squadron Joint Force Harrier OCU, where we had access to the hangars, and ATC Tower to view Harrier movements. Another excellent visit to Wittering.

Brooklands Museum
A return visit by MKAS to Brooklands, the famous home of British motoring and aviation in Weybridge, which boasts a preserved Concorde, Vickers VC-10, Viscount, the world's only remaining complete Vanguard and many others besides. An excellent museum and well worth a visit..
RAF Cosford
With the morning free to visit the excellent Cold War complex at the RAF Museum, this was followed by an early afternoon visit to the Defence College of Aeronautical Training, to see the myriad of aircraft that are in use at the SoTT (School of Technical Training) where as usual photography was allowed and another excellent visit was had.
Thursday 12th July 2007
RAF Marham
MKAS were invited to a Friends and Family day at RAF Marham, home to four Tornado GR4 Squadrons.  A varied static and a shortened flying display in the afternoon, ensured that the rain did not manage to dampen spirits and gave us another excellent visit to this RAF station.

RAF Scampton and Newark Air Museum
Another return visit to RAF Scampton, home of the Red Arrows and launch of the Dambusters raid. An afternoon was then spent at the superb Newark Air Museum. A fitting end to our excellent 2007 visits programme.
