Fast-Jet Flying In The Iranian Air Force
MKAS had a major coup, and were very privileged to welcome Reza Sohrabi, who gave us a unique insight into flying fast jets in Iran.
A terrific start to another year of excellent lectures.

The Berlin Airlift 1948-49
Squadron Leader A Garretts MBE gave us a superb lecture on this historic US/UK effort to bring food and supplies to the people of Berlin.

Gerry Cullen returned once again to regale us with tales of his flying training in the RAAF, and private and civil flying in Australia, RAFVR and then a taster of more civil flying back in the UK. the story will continue......

Saving Our Aviation Heritage - It's Not Just Aeroplanes You Know
Our annual Presidents Lecture, where Steve Bond talked to us about our aviation heritage in all its many facets - from buildings and airfields, to documents, photographs and books, and all the other aviation paraphernalia and what we need to do to save it.
Annual General Meeting & Photographic Competition
Our annual report to the membership, as well as the 8th Annual Photographic Competition for the John Cox Memorial Trophy.
NetJets - Business Aircraft Fractional Ownership
Jeremy Genin worked in the NetJets London office and he gave us a very interesting insight into the the world of Fractional Ownership and the European leader NetJets, A terrific lecture and much enjoyed by all who attended.
The History of The RAF Aerobatic Teams
Well known aviation author and photographer Adrian Balch is an expert on the many aerobatic teams flown by the RAF, and tonight he took us through their history in pictures and on DVD.

Canberra Flying in the RAF
Alan Foster was one of the first pilots to be trained in the RAF on jet aircraft all the way through to flying the Canberra. A unique insight into his training and career on this charismatic aircraft.

Battle of Britain Memorial Flight
Squadron Leader Al Pinner, Commanding Officer of the unit, gave a record crowd of members and visitors, a superb illustrated lecture on the work of the Flight.
My Time in the RAF
Mike Nicholson flew Liberators in the Far East, including supply operations of the Chindits. A fascinating lecture about a little known aspect of the air war..

British Airways Fleet Planning
Dick Wyatt retired as British Airways Fleet Planning Manager and he gave us a great insight into his long career, and gave us a unique look at how airlines go about selecting and managing their fleets.
Five of the Few
Steve Darlow returned to give us a taster, with an excellent combination of speech and video & audio clips, about his research into the careers of five Battle of Britain pilots, which are featured in his newest book.
