The Last Sunderlands
An excellent illustrated talk by Master Navigator Bill Whyter, who served on the RAF's last flying boat squadron in Singapore in the late 1950s. We were treated to a detailed explanation of the work of the navigator in all phases of a typical Sunderland mission, from briefing, pre-flight, being airborne, to landing and finally de-brief. Fascinating stuff.
