| Tristar Operations Flt Lt Neil Mitchell, 216 Squadron RAF Brize Norton, gave us a very good talk on the work of the RAF's Tristar, in its wide variety of work from trooping to air-to-air refuelling, in support of RAF commitments worldwide. |

| To War In A Halifax Jack Bromfield served on 158 Squadron at Lissett, as a Halifax WOP/AG and here he told us about his experiences in Bomber Command up to the point of his crew being shot down. |

| Offical Launch Meeting of MKAS The first gathering at Kents Hill of MKAS members. A "Meet the MKAS Committee" session was followed by Chairman Steve Bond giving us a very interesting slide show about "Warbirds & Vintage Airliners of Southern California". MKAS was up and running!!!!. |

| Our initial meeting The very first gathering of interested folks, to form an aviation society in the Milton Keynes area. A meeting of the MKAS committee then took place on the 16th February and we got ready for our first official meeting on the 14th March. |

| War-time flying in Catalina's We were held spell bound by Wing Commander "Hack" Hackman reminiscenses and "Why you can never take anything for granted". We were also briefed by Vincent Coultan, Chief Flying Instructor at Turweston on the MKAS flying evening, which was held at Turweston on the 21st June. |
| To Oz and Back An MKAS members evening, where our Chairman Steve Bond delighted us with a slide show of his visit "Down Under" and our very own Uncle Roger kept the grey matter active with his fiendish MKAS Quiz. |
| "Marshalls of Cambridge" Terry Holloway FRAeS Group Support Executive Marshalls Aerospace, gave us an excellent talk on the distinguished history of a company which specialises in supporting a wide variety of civil and miltary aircraft. |

| The Aircraft Restoration Company John Smith of the Blenheim engineering team, was involved in the restoration of both the ARC's Blenheims, and was on board the first aircraft, when it crashed at Denham, just a month after completion. |
| Gliding - From Vintage to Present Our scheduled speaker was not able to attend due to the on-going petrol dispute, but Peter Chamberlain ably stepped into the breach to give us a very interesting illustrated lecture on gliders, from vintage to present day. |
