Flying the Hunter and Venom in RAF Service

Peter Sawyer talks about his experiences in Aden, the Arabian Peninsula, Bahrain and Kuwait together with The Oman and Kenya between 1958 and 1961, when he was flying Venoms and Hunters on 208 Squadron.

 Hurricanes over Russia

Air Commodore Phil Wilkinson (ret’d) tells us the story of Hurricane Wing 151, which was rapidly formed and deployed to Murmansk immediately after the German invasion of Russia in 1941.  A new documentary featuring the veterans of this exploit will be shown..

The Battle of Britain Beacon - Transforming the RAF Museum

In May 2010 the RAF Museum unveiled plans for an iconic addition to the London site - The Battle of Britain Beacon.  Peter Dye OBE, Director General of the RAF museum, will talk about the background, current status and intentions of this exciting project.

Air to Air Refuelling Operations in the South Atlantic

Wing Commander Barry Neal participated extensively in AAR operations in the South Atlantic in all roles in various detachments from April 1982 to April 1983, and flew two sorties on Operation Black Buck 1, the first Vulcan bombing raid on the Falklands Islands.
